Road Report - Tues, Mar 3rd, 5:45pm

Tues, Mar 3rd, 5:45pm - Hello, SLE. As I’m sure most of you know by now, our Road Crew has been busy at work, grading as well (and quickly) as possible. See below for the latest.

Fri, Feb 27th:

- St. Joe (partial)

- Newman (St. Joe to Tahoe)

Sat, Feb 28th:

- CDA (entrance back to Hayden)

- Liberty (from CDA to just past Priest)

Sun, Mar 1st:

- All of Kelso, beginning to end

- Finished the rest of St. Joe

- Hayden and Liberty intersection

For newer residents, we prioritize roads by need and traffic volume. We also must weigh readiness of roads based on conditions.

For example, some areas are still frozen and needed a few passes, which isn’t a good use of limited time when the goal right now is to get as much done as we can each day the weather is with us. Other roads with more hills and shaded spots (and as a result, more frozen sections) need more time to warm-up before work can be done.

If we haven’t gotten to your road yet, please know we will soon. Grading will resume this weekend and I’ll continue to keep you posted as more progress is made. For now, we hope you enjoy your ride in being easier.

Thanks again for your patience, understanding, and driving slowly to preserve our roads. We are already seeing speeds picking up now as grading is being done. This is dangerous for our operators plus damages our roads and costs us more money.
