Hi SLE Community,
It has been a snowy January so far and more is expected this week, so be prepared. Please remember to not push the snow you plow from your property into the berms created by the HOA plow on the side of the road. This narrows the road and creates an ice-block that can damage the plows. Also clear any branches hanging over the road low enough to interfere with the plow.
The Board also wants to acknowledge the great work of the Road Committee. Something has broken on one or both of the plows every time they go out, but instead of hundred or even thousands of dollars of expenses to fix them, our volunteers have stepped in and done the repairs in-house.
These guys have all donated their time and mechanical skills to keeping our HOA equipment running and the roads cleared. Thank You to all of them!
Lastly, if you or anyone you know is without heat or is snowed in, please contact the HOA. We don't want anyone going without warmth or food if the weather gets bad and there are plenty of people in this community who will help out.
Drive safely. Keep Warm. Have backup heat and food and don't go out in the bad weather if you don't have to. Most of all, enjoy this beautiful winter wonderland that we live in!
