Spirit Lake East is a quiet, private rural community nestled in the beautiful lake country of North Idaho. The community consists of 296 lots, each 10 to 15 acre parcels. There are slightly more than miles of private graveled dirt roadway maintained by the Association.

Police Protection

Provided by the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office. Phone 446-1300. Do not call the Spirit Lake Police. SLE is not part of the city of Spirit Lake.

Utilities

For more details Call before you dig: just call 811, at least two days before you start work. Representatives will come out and mark the location of the unground utilities. This is a free service.

Roads

Road maintenance is managed by the roads committee. Details.

Who are my representatives?

SLE is precinct # 1 and voting at the Spirit Lake Community Center on N 4th. SLE is in legislative district # 3. You may register to vote at the City Hall in Spirit Lake or at any city hall or at the Elections Office, 315 W. Garden Ave, CDA.

Noise Problems

Noise and barking dogs are covered by the CC&R nuisance section. However, the board is not an enforcement agency, so start by talking to your neighbor and try to work out the problem between yourselves.

Schools

The local schools are part of the Lakeland School District. SLE children attend two public schools, Spirit Lake Elementary and Timberlake Jr/Sr High School. Details

Off Road Vehicles

Off Road Vehicles are allowed in SLE ONLY for work use. This is a quiet community and recreational use of dirt bikes, snow mobiles, and ATVs is not allowed under the CC&Rs. For more details, see our lawyers letter.
