Meetings | SLE
has two types of meetings. The board meets monthly on the first Tuesday at 7:00
at the Spirit Lake Senior Center. Members are welcome to observe and comment on
issues being addressed by the board. Meetings for all members of SLE are held
on the second Tuesday of May and November at 7:00. The meetings are usually at
the Timberlake High School. |
SLE
Board | Board members serve 3 year terms
and are elected at the May membership meeting. See the contact list for the current
members of the board and their terms. When a vacancy opens between regular elections,
the board will appoint someone to fill the position until the next election. |
Committees | Architectural
Committee: The Architectural Review Committee approves new construction and
remodeling in SLE. Details. Timber Committee:
The timber committee must approve any logging on SLE properties. |
Special Committees | Water
Committee: In 2004, a special committee was formed to address problems with
water service in the development, after water service was out for 10 days in October.
They investigated the problem and worked with the DEQ on many issues. They worked
to inform the membership as well as solve the problems. The successor to that
committee has investigated the possibility of taking over the water company and
continued to work with DEQ and PUC to improve the quality and reliability of water
service to SLE and Treeport (which is also served by Spirit Lake East Water Company).
They continue to work to assure a safe and reliable water supply. Details |
Finances |
The
SLE Homeowner's Association collects annual dues to pay for road maintenance and
other expenses of the homeowner's association. Details.
In addition, many homeowners are paying a special assessment along with their
dues. Two documents may be of interest: an
explanation of the assessment and who pays and a final
report on the use of the money. |
Road
Maintenance and Plowing | The road committee
oversees road maintenance, weed control, and snow removal in SLE. Details.

CC&Rs | PDF

copy provided by the board. For more information, contact the SLE board. |
Spokane Circle |
The Spirit Lake Fire District owns Spokane Circle, and had plans to house some
of their equipment there, as well as develop the unused portion of the circle
into a park/picnic area. However, there is a problem getting water to the site
and there are no current plans to develop it. |
